Greetings again folks and welcome back to MVFTLB. Its thursday, one more day to go before the weekend . News wise there are some stories out there that are quite amazing and some that are not even worth mentioning. Ill do my best to bring you some stories that lay somewhere in the middle. Oil grabs?
There are some who are thinking just this! In what appears to be a unfair balance in the current Iraqi parliment, washington has pushed ahead a draft that would divide the oil profits up equale. But in PM. Maliki cabinet, some are scoffing at the idea that such a fair divy would take place. The shia are growing concernd over what they claim would be a bounty divided up by sunni and kurdish leaders, thus leaving the shia with nothing . Keep your eye on this story as iam quite sure it wont go away anytime soon. Yet possibley lead to more strife within the iraqi goverment.

Piss poor oversight and background checks.
66 ppl working for a houston texas troubled youth center were arrested or fired for having prior arrests that went undiscoverd.
3 of the former workers at the youth detention center had convictions ranging from murder to attempted to murder and assualt with a deadly weapon.
Officals are not saying weather or not the 66 former employees had contact with the children on a daily basis and if anything happend during the time of their emyployment. This raises a eyebrow for every youth detention center around the nation. Even airport baggage folks have a far better screening before they are employed . Pretty piss poor back ground checking . Heres hoping this isint just the tip of the iceberg.

condie presses maliki , not that he listens.
The con is in syria today to have talks with syrian leaders who will attend a summit on iraq thats held in egypt on friday. Rice stressed to PM maliki that he must do more to shore up support for Iraq from his border neighbors. (iam sure she said more but that cant be printed) Meanwhile some are balking in this summit to forgive Iraqs debts and have them reduced to 80% of the original cost. Also interesting to note is that Iraq is trying to drum up support via money to help with the reconstruction of iraq. Wait a second, what happend to all that money that the US pumped into Iraq? you know , the money the US taxpayers were forced to pay from home and saw their health care benifits slashed and other goverment programs slashed due to the war cost? Now iraq is pleading for more money from its neighbors during this summit? something isint adding up here. One should note too, that last month when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi went to syria for talks, she was put down by the whitehouse. But its ok for condie to fly over there ? why the sudden turn around,, politics plain and simple.

time for damage control unit.
In what now only after it was caught on tape and complaints filed by media outlets , is the LAPD investigating what took place monday during the immigrant march in los angels. Some 200 something rubber bullets were fired into the mostly peacefull crowd. eyewitness reports say that police did see trouble makers, but instead of going after them, they marched those back into the crowd of marchers, in hopes of more trouble being started. Well it worked. Soon, police were seen charging the marchers and crowds . Local media reporters were also caught up in the charge, and were beaten with batons and pushed or shoved to the ground. Cameras caught police beating ppl who were simply walking away from the park where the crowd had ended up, or being shoved as they were walking away. One camera man was knocked to the ground and sufferd a broken wrist and hand, from the police. Nice job LAPD. if you were looking to mimic the nazi storm troopers, you did a fine job of it.

ahh what to do what to do. its looking more and more like the current 2008 republican presidental canidates are having a problem with indentifying themselfs with BUSH aka veto vito . Some are pondering ways to distant themselfs from veto vito and his failed policys. Trouble is, most of the canidates voted for bushs bill that were signed and made into law. I wonder how they can now say during debates they ? were mislead? didint know? were lied to? either way they try to spin it , its still a stain on their records . They cant bash bush to much, as bush is the one he will throw his support behind of the canidates, yet cant come off as a bushie loyalist either. Its going to interesting to see them all squirm around the hot topics and try to get ppl to believe any thing they say.
