Greetings again folks and welcome back to my view from the litter box. News out there today/night has some folks doing cartwheels and others crying foul. Theres no middle i guess. So while your here, go grab some fav beverages and snacks. Lets start the blog off with,,,,,this.

Some news outletts say it was prisoner exchange swap with the americans who were holding 5 iranaian diplomats it had detained since one month ago while operations in iraq took place. Others talk of money being offerd, although i find the later to be doubtfull. Either way, Iam sure the word to release the 15 came from Irans supream leader,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supreme_Leader_of_Iran that gave the final word. Perhaps they were rethinking the possiblities of detaining the 15 brits, as the military operations continued to build up and surround their country. Not to mention that even its friends, china and russia were backing away from Iran since the seizuer took place. Fearing the loss of these two powerfull friends, and facing even more isolation from the world, perhaps the grand leader said enough and handed the brits back.
Of course this might put a damper on presidents bush idea to invade Iran. Under what pretext now does he have? Theres far to many toy boats in a small body of water now with the build up in the gulf. All it takes is one misunderstanding and there goes the dynamite. Heres hoping such a case wont transpire and Bush learns from other nations that by talking and having a open channel , it can lead to better outcomes, then his previous actions of bomb em now and ask questions later. Heres to the 15 brits new found freedom and heres to talks and what it can solve in the world.!
Bad Nancy bad i say!
President Bush attempted to give Congress a dressing down regarding their proposal to end the US troops commitment in iraq by march 2008. How they can go about it is simple,, not approve anymore war budgets when Bush puts in a claim for another 100 million for spending on the war. But if you read the articule , it goes on to say this in regards to Bush bashing the dems over thier refusal to rubber stamp the war budget. ´´Democrats have argued that Mr. Bush made no such complaint last year when Congress, then held by Republicans, did not approve an emergency war spending measure until late spring. And the bill in the House, they said, would mandate that the president follow Pentagon policy limiting deployments and requiring a set period of rest between deployments — one year for the Army; 210 days for the Marines — or obtain waivers to ignore them.´´ So much for that claim President Bush.
a mixed blessing?
Due to the massive drowning of baby seal pups that are to weak to swim during their first weeks after birth, the Canadian Goverment has called off its anual seal hunt. Some might call it a mixed blessing. This time around Man didint slaughter them , mother nature, edged on with global warming got to them before the hunt could begin. Now my owners know of NO ONE that wears seal fur. Not now and not 30 yrs ago.
Estimates of the death had put some in the range of thousands of drowings. While some can see the seal hunt as some humans way of making a living, there has been a wide discusion on how its done. The most humane effort is to shoot the pups. However , there are some that use the club on them, often times not killing the pups, rather paralizing them or they slowly bleed to death. Its not humane folks. If this hunt must go on, then for the love of nature, use something fast and quick. not a fucking club that at times just starves off death on the seal pups, but leads to a long drawn out death. The Humane society has sighted case of some pups still alive when being skinned for their fur.
Just where is the fur going to? do some digging and you might be surpised!
Giving it a shot?
As i was saying from the above story, about having talks with nations that dont see eye to eye on america, Now bush is reading speaker of the house a riot act due to her travel to syria to meet with its leader. Bushs problem is that he just does not talk period. His bubble consist of ppl who fact gather info and intell for him and from there he makes his mind up as to what nations he will shun. However it was ok when a few republicans went to syria to speak with President Bashar Al-Assad .That was ok , but for a democrat to visit? its bad bad i say. Perhaps Bush is afraid that by other ppl doing what hes incapable of doing, might lead to change and progress. Progress that does not require war .
More and more leaders of other nations have paid visits to the mid east and the mid east leaders have welcomed this. Maybe since bush took office, ppl are just tired of his cowboy style way of dealing with ´´threats´´ and are looking forward to open minded ppl to talk to and in the end , find a solution that Bush wouldint or couldint think of. Rich and over inflated egos make for a deadly combination in the this world, as the iraq war rages on .And we all saw how well Bush claims and non talks worked out for iraq right?
They say 2007 is the yr for these again.
While the experts got it wrong last yr as the yr of hurricanes to pound the world, it was not the case. This yr however, using more improved scientific data, experts are now saying that its going to be the yr of massive storms that will visit the alantic, part of mexico and the gulf waters. They agree that there a probability that two storms with the strenght of rita, will reach the states coastal areas. Now the big question remains,, are we perpared? Look at the bad planning and piss poor reaction time FEMA did in 2005 when Katrina slammed into the gulf states.
Heres hoping that , should the experts be correct, ppl are more prepared, and get out of the storms path. For those that cannot, the states goverment responds and has some form of transportation ready . And let ppl bring their pets . Some ppl stayed behind when katrina hit when they were told, they had to leave their pets behind. NY had better prepare itself. Water temps have risen in recent yrs making it a prime target for a hurricane to form and hit.

And the humans are getting ready to celebrate good friday too. last min shopping etc. Also, theres a veryy strong smell coming from the house next to mine. It smells like chemicals with oranges? either way its giving one of owners a headache, the other asthma attacks and me,, i barfed 3 times tonight. I really hate to think that a neighbor has a meth lab! But how would i know,, i never smelt the shit befour nor know anyone whos a ice head either. Just wish the smell would go away.
