Hard to believe its over (for now) But there still is other news out there to take a look at and try to make sence of it. what I and iam sure others will never understand is why when ppl are so ill with the bush admin, while they are serving under the president, wait untill after they leave and then go out and write a tell all book about how bad it was. Case in point george tenet. I dont feel sorry for this moron. If anything his sudden breaking the silence is nothing more then a pitch for his new book he wrote. Further more, if hes so pissed off and disgusted at bush , then send back the medal of freedom bush gave to him. But he hasint and wont. Vlad says piss off NATO treaty deal.
As the con scoffs at any notion that this could re start the cold war games in europe, its apparent that putin is dead serious with his decison to walk away from the nato treaty. What would you,as a leader of a large country think when another country sets up missle defence sheilds right in your former back yard? even a moron would be wary of such actions. so con can scoff all she wants. But in reality she knows shes in deep waters over her head with this new announcment from russia. She cannot afford to piss off a country and its leader , putin. With the US miltary stretched already thin, its time for her to do some major ass kissing to see if any repair can be done to the damaged relationship.
after all her, major was russian relations during the cold war and she speaks it pretty good. Time to test her degree.

its a good idea, but lets hope its not like the flight lists, where anyone can end up on.
While many gun owners say this is a good idea in order to prevent any more nut cases getting thier hands on firearms, some are worried that like the no fly list, it could in the end prevent decent law abiding folks from owning a firearm. The no fly list now contains names that sound similar to those that are wanted or being tracked by the US goverment for possible terrorist activity. Reports have surfaced that with the no fly list innocent ppl are being caught in the process and have actually been turned away from entering the US. So lets hope this new law, should it pass, dosint turn out to be another red tapped over stuffed dysfunctional goverment agency.

Rudy is already flip flopping like mad.

In 2004, rudy said he didint see any problems with civil unions regarding gays. Now hes done a complete 360 and says he has issues with it. Its the first of the flip floppers and its not even close to election time. But thats rudy for you folks. He will do, say, offer, anything to make him look good and get his foot more and more in the door . But like the past, it too has caughten up with rudy. Just how is going to explain his sudden flip flop at a debate? Iam curious as to how he thinks he can wiggle free from the hook now. And what other issues will rudy continue to flip flop over. PPl will tell you anything , promise you the moon, to get what they want in the end. He wants your votes and endorsment for prez. Dont give it to him. Hold rudy accountable for his past comments and politcal stances. I wont even go into rudys adultry . But let me just say this, no one needs a lecture on marriage from a man whos been married twice!

death and riots over iron and stone?
as messed up at it sounds iam afraid its true. One man was stabbed to death over a memorial that was erected in memory of the fallen soviet troops under the nazi death grip. In a proposal to remove the statue and some of the graves near by to a more suitable location( a war cementary near by) caused a uproar and riots.
Why ppl will fight and kill over iron and stone is beyond me. sad days indeed and iam sure the fallen ones are not pleased with all this hubba over it either. As i type this, the protestors are still clashing with the police over it.

army officer gives his view of the war, and its not pretty.
Breaking the silence over the iraq war this LT, deems piss poor generals over in iraq and at the pentagon, iam sure will find him demoted if not kicked out of the military. Unlike comment s made from former military officals, this will not be looked at with approval from the higher ups. But the man is correct. Piss poor generals that lack the over sight and ability to command , Generals appointed by the Bush admi that dont know a sunni from a shia. Some sit in their offices all day doing yes man work while others play osterich and bury their heads in the sands.
Not enough troops were sent from the very start of the war by the gen who helped plan it (yes tommy franks that means you) Some gens giving the president fake numbers and yes siring em to shit to avoid the real ugly truth that the war ill planned from the get go. If they were afraid of rumsfeld , they should have banned togeather and sent congress a letter saying they were being hinderd from the get go. But no they did not. and Today we see the outcome of those who didint speak up and now retire one by one. As the LT in the story said, ´´if a troop loses his rifle, he faces more punishment , then if a gen loses a war´´. Hes 100% correct with that statement.

the real life in baghdad.
recent polls taking in Baghdad have found that a slim minority think the recent surge is working, while others say its not doing much but making a traffic jam. Others recount that no where is safe in iraq. In esseance, some say that they do have a slight feeling of saftey and can now go out and by bread. But then others say that there is still the corruption of the Iraqi police that single out sunnie or shia for possible kidnappings or worse. In the story above one man described a check point where he thought for sure he was about to be killed on the spot by a iraqi police check point, It was only after a american military convo came up that the check point police handed back their ID cards and told them to leave quickly.
So thats the real life in baghdad, straight from the mouths of those who live and work there.
