´´KOLLE ALAAF´´!!!!

Greetings again folks and Iam back for this weeks MY VIEW FROM THE LITTER BOX! Well today was officaly rose monday in Germany for the parts that celebrate carnival. Ill do my best to describe the pics that i will add my owners didint take because like numbnuts, they left their didgi came home when they left this morning for the KÖLN Karnaval. No political news tonight,just some fun !

This is the governor of my owners state! He was there today in Köln even though he really should have been at the dusseldorf carnival. Shows he has good taste yes?

My owners remember walking thru the crowd and seeing these folks perched atop a pharmacy roof. There was mega ppl there today and from what the humans said when they came home was that wow ppl are very genorous with their beer this time of year!

In german this man holds a dicke drum , pronounced trum. Bascialy it means he holds a fat drum, bass drum to be exact. He was part of his carnival club . There are many in Germany .

This yrs event was rather political with ppl making floats about higher taxes and jobs being lost to the east. All done in good fun and taste. My owners didint witness a single fight.

These kids all lined up and down the streets wait with outstretched hands as the floats go by throwing candy, red roses, flowers and massive size chocalate bars . If your not on the ball , you can be hit in the head with the candy bars. And yes it stings too!

I think the above float had something to do with the fishing industry here. Not sure, like my owners were saying it was political this yr, but done in good fun and taste.

The declaration of the opening of the old city gates to kick off carnival 2007. There was over 10,000 ppl in the parade and as far as the crowd numbers, sorry i dont have that stat for you.

The fair maiden and the knight. I dont know why its always two guys doing this but it dates back to hundreds of yrs so?

This float depicts other cities carnivals princess, dussedorfs is supposed to be a tramp, Aacheren is supposed to be flat chested ugly and Kölns, typical ? i know its weird for non germans.

These guys are part of the princes guard i think. I think my amercan owner ´´wasderface´´ now knows mega songs for carnival in germany. I mean its only taken them over 7 yrs now!

some folks in the crowd decked out in their carnival costumes. Some of the costumes were really odd. My owners went as a monk, complete with hooded robe and a clown with tinsle hair and a red nose.

The carnival also invites other folks from various countries to particapate. Here you can see the turkish flag, the american flag, the japanese flag and the french flag, oh and i think way in the back is the italian flag too.

A museum wagon of sorts, my owners were kinda occupied to read every float sorry.

Some members of a carnival society in Köln. Its a pricey thing to become a member and the costumes can cost 360 euro and up! plus you have the members fees too.

This float shows Germanys Chancellor Angela Merkel, pleading with President Putin from russian to not mess with the gas lines that run to and from both countries under a deal made from the former chancellor of germany, Gerhart schroder.

ahh finaly , here he comes,, Kölns new prince of carnival 2007, Jacky the first! actually the dudes a professor whos studied abroad i think his major is politcal science or something along those lines.

Other members of some society handing out some candy to kids on the sidelines. I bet the dentist this yr will make out like bandits from all those cavitys too ;)

I think my owners said this was the kids guard for kölns carnival or the dance group, not sure.

Part of the blue guards that broke off from the red sparks many yrs ago and started their own society . Here are the acrobat dancers, for lack of a better word.

This one is called the blue snake,, i think it has something to do with china flooding the market with their products.

Another float depicting Angela Merkels fight with the Industry minister over global warming. It was dubbed the ice age float. Pretty good art work .

Two of the players from world champions of handball 2007, that was held in Germany this past month. Germany beat Poland in the finals.

Another society of carnival from Köln. Trust me folks there are alot.

Part of the crowd control and very present police officers that lined the streets. here this police woman shows off her many roses given to her by the carnival parade particpaints.

So there you have it humans. Thats pretty much carnival in colonge germany. There are many other pics out there taken by spectators but like i said earlier, my owners forgot their camera and well missed alot of shots. But it was fun, the music was great and the ppl were super nice. If you didint have a beer in your hand, you were constantly asked by someone if you wanted one,, for free too. ´´the spoiler´´ had to drive to and fro so ´´wasderface´´ had their share of fine colonge beer and of course their fav,, becks and heineken too .

Of course there were many other parts of germany that had their versions of carnival too today. But my owners love colognes and always go there. Next yr they might look into maybe ´´wasderface´´ trying out for spot on the drum line. depends on the amount of money this might cost too yanno? They came home around 8 pm this eveing and being beat from the days activitys, orderd out some excellent food! i got my share of the donnar and the veal and lamb and even some rice too.

Cain didint care for the donar but ate up the small pieces of veal like a hog. one hour later, he promptly barfed on the floor too. Ahh what can i say, he cant be trusted to know his own limit.

Ok lets see if i can find some funnies here for you folks, let me look and see if theres anything good to put up on the blog, nope. Looks like cain hogged em all from last night !!! why that little !"§$%&/()=

Other News From The House And Murphy, has the humans here awaiting some artwork from the states. Seems ´´wasderface´´ has a brother that can draw like no tomorow. pencil,, numbers 1, 3 and 10 and oil paint too. Be sure when it arrives, it will be posted on my blog to show you fine folks.

Well, being how its late, and my owners left early and came home late, i think iam going to go spend some quality down time with ´´the spoiler´´ whos sleeping and get my missed out on cuddles and snuggles on the bed with em. Unknown to them i find their hand and headbutt it, untill they roll over and subconsciencely pet me and my belly untill i fall in to a deep kitty coma!
