Today the House Judiciary Committee voted for supoenas for top white house personel, those include karl rove as one . What this means is that if any serious wrong doing is found, the supeonas can now be handed out and those issued such ,must appear. But with congress and Bush playing a game of chicken, its hard to tell whos going to move first. If it does go to court and then further up to the courts, such as the supreme court, theres a good chance that two things can happen, One the SC says ´´this is not a matter for the courts go back and find a solution on your own or TWO, the courts could rule in favor of bush. There are some that are saying this is nothing more then a great game of politics the democrats are playing to score points. Others however dont see it as such,including republicans . Keep you eye on this one folks, its going to get bigger before it ends.

what a differance a election makes! News coming from the department of defence has vowed to crack down on companies who bid for contract work in Iraq and often times padded the bills, or didint finish the projects. nearly 38 million dollars was given the green light by congress to help with reconstruction projects . Now last month a audit has found that 10 million of it cannot be accounted for. So far 16 companies are facing fines and have seen their contracts null and voided by the US goverment. Also, there are new charges to face if some companys are found guilty of being war profiteering, Hmm wonder if kellog Brown and Hallibutron are on the list ?

new rules went into effect today regarding how the FBI may obtain phone records and other personal information. In what the FBI says is the proper protocal, now the FBI tells its agents to only ask for the information if its a matter of life of death or a serious threat exists against the united states. also it says there will be more doumentation as to why the requests were made , to make sure any random witch hunt isint bogging down the systems and resulting in illegal searches by the FBI! about damn time ppl!

the above story details how homes that still lay in ruin will be bullddozed due to city officals not being able to find the owners. (perhaps they are dead or living it high in houston texas where they never had it so good?) So far the city has approved the bulldozing of some 9000 homes. The army corp has bulldozed 3000 so far and owners have done the same amount to their own ruined homes. Sighting the states dragging its feet, on aid to rebuild some home owners are asking for a chance to rebuild their homes. But without the aid money it wont happen. Well perhaps this might have happend according to this next story,,,,
goes on to detail that the army corps were responsible for the post flooding in some of the wards in new orleans. Based on information they corps used dating back from 1959 to 1972 and again in 1979, they attempted to pick the worst storm possible and from there shored up the leeve walls. it goes on to say this
"Our research shows very clearly that the standard was changed, but the corps just kept going about its business as if nothing happened," van Heerden said.
Katrina, a Category 3 storm when it made landfall, fell far short of the expectation of the most severe hurricane.
In 1985, the head of the project ordered his staff to ignore an official reduction in the elevation of the land they were building on. That left levees and floodwalls as much as 2 feet lower than claimed.
"Had the walls been built as high as called for, the floodwalls in the Lower 9th Ward would have been overtopped for 1.5 hours, but instead water poured over them for 4.5 hours," van Heerden said.
That water scoured out deep trenches inside the floodwalls, contributing to their collapse.
Below-design walls and levees contributed to many of the more than 50 breaches the system sustained during Katrina, the researchers said.
The agency missed major engineering mistakes by subcontractors; those led to breaches including those on the 17th Street and London Avenue canals. According to the report, the decision that a thin layer of clay at the bottom of the London Avenue Canal could keep water from seeping into the sands below was based on incorrect calculation of a standard engineering formula.
perhaps if GW Bush didint slash funds for the corps, it might have been a somewhat different outcome. But as it is now, we might never know who was to blame for the lack of oversight and funding to keep the leeves high enough and properly maintained.

in what many are thinking the same thing,, what took em so long to change tactics, the US military announced it has made some changes to its no fly zones. After the downing of 9 helicopters in Iraq, a decision was made to change the flight patteren to avoid enemy gun fire or rocket fire coming from the now defunct flight plan. But of course, by announcing this, its not exactually a smart idea. Now the insurgents know of the flight plans being ditched .
Why does the military announce a major move or change to the public, when it will only go to serve the bad guys advantage? I mean sure, they would have figured it out when the birds dont fly over a certian part of iraq anymore , but to publicly announce it? picture scouts on roof tops will cell phones and binoculars to look for the new flight pateren soon!
in this story above it goes on to detail what IF true can only be described as the acts of the most cowardly humans possible on the face of the planet. Maj. Gen. Michael Barbaro said today that a car waved thru a checkpoint was allowed due to the 2 small children in the backseat of the car. Cars with kids are deemed low risk for anytype of bombings . In the same articule it says that according to this man,,Lt. Col. Christopher Garver said he had no idea of what barbaro was talking about in regards to the event he claimed.
Lets be clear on this folks ok? either it was two small kids or not in the back seat, were they used as decoys for detonate a bomb? killing them and countless others? if the story is true, then may those two ´´adults´´ forever burn in hell for doing such a act. If its false then may the person who made up the story be kicked out of the service and have his head examined. Either way its pretty sick .
